March 31st
Getting faster!!!! Actual time - 52:06

March 28th
A good 37.38 run. Forgot to turn on GPS so no idea what distance.

March 25th
5.97miles /9.61km in 53:22. Getting better.

March 24th
With new running belt (or bum bag) on I can now start to track my distance and time splits using my iphone Running App GPS. I have to admit I’m slightly hung over from the previous night but still decide to go for the run to sweat out the toxins. 4.38miles / 7.05km in 40 minutes. Not bad.

March 23rd
“It’s arrived”, I shout in the middle of the office as my package is plonked on the table in front of me. “What’s arrived”? my work colleagues ask as I rip open my package like it’s Christmas day. I proudly show them my new purchase. “What the heck is that”? they ask. It’s my brand new Spibelt belt, or should I say bum bag. Everyone rolls their eyes. Geesh, I need a life!
Excited about my new bum bag. Is this a sign I'm getting old?

March 21st

March 18th

A good 39.22 run. No idea what distance.

March 17th
Set out on my first training run. I will be honest that I work out at the gym at least 3-4 times a week so it’s not like I’m going into this from scratch. It is a wet and windy miserable day and my sole aim is to build up my endurance. Outdoor running is nothing like hitting the treadmill so I’m not expecting anything spectacular.

March 16th
Oh my head...what have I done?

March 15th
I was out with my friend JenRgy and over a bottle of wine she told me she was entering the Great North Run. Perhaps it was the alcohol that was influencing me, but right there and then I said I would enter as well! Gulp. Much more wine to celebrate.

Confirmation that I just signed up to do the GNR!
